Trammell Creek originates on my farm in Green County Kentucky. The spring that feeds this creek is the same spring that served my ancestors for generations. Since these knives also originate on my farm I chose to brand the knives after this creek.
I really enjoy selecting and crafting the handles from materials found on my farm. I have been using burl cherry, spalted maple, deer antlers, and figured walnut which I harvested from this farm. Some other handle materials was acquired from friends and relatives and from recent trips with my wife Melody.
I hope you get as much pleasure from looking at my knives, as I have in crafting them.
Thank You, David R. Davis
The designs are all mine, and are not purchased blanks. All knives start from flat bar tool steel. where I then either grind or cut out with a manual milling machine.
Most of the handles are made from materials that I harvest locally from my farm. I dry the wood then treat it with "Cactus Juice" brand wood stabilizer.
